FAIR
is a national media watch group. It has been offering well-documented
criticism of media bias and censorship since 1986. We work to
invigorate the First Amendment by advocating for greater diversity
in the press and by scrutinizing media practices that marginalize
public interest, minority and dissenting viewpoints. As an anti-censorship
organization, we expose neglected news stories and defend working
journalists when they are muzzled.

Matters for America
is a Web-based,
not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) progressive research and information
center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and
correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media. Launched
in May 2004, Media Matters for America put in place, for the first
time, the means to systematically monitor a cross section of print,
broadcast, cable, radio, and Internet media outlets for conservative
misinformation — news or commentary that is not accurate,
reliable, or credible and that forwards the conservative agenda
— every day, in real time.

SourceWatch
is a collaborative project of the Center for Media and Democracy
to produce a directory of the people, organizations and issues
shaping the public agenda. SourceWatch's primary focus is on documenting
public relations firms, think tanks, industry-funded organizations
and industry-friendly experts that work to influence public opinion
and public policy on behalf of corporations, governments and special
interests. Over time, SourceWatch has broadened to include others
involved in public debates including media outlets, journalists
and government agencies.
