About me


Previously I was a postdoctoral fellow in Thomas Kahle's group at the Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg.

I did my PhD in Mathematics at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences under the supervision of Prof. Jürgen Jost, and obtained my degree in May 2014 from the Universität Leipzig.

Prior to that, I received an undergraduate degree in Physics from the Universidad de los Andes in March 2008. There, I wrote my undergraduate thesis under the supervision of Prof. Andres Reyes.

Research Interests


Geometric combinatorics and its relations to other fields, like commutative algebra and algebraic geometry.
